Hi all....looking for a fila puppy
Hi all y name is Darby and I used to own a fila who was the love of my life. I had to put her down in April due to bad hips...the rimadahl was no longer working and since she lived to follow me when she no longer could easily she would just cry and could no longer bear to watch er in such pain. I am looking to get a new love sometime this spring......I need to make sure that I am over zany before getting another one! I really do like the look of the fawn with lots of white. Zany was a red brindle which i also adore. It should go without saying that temp and health are first before color...should be health, temp, than color/sex preference!...any help would be appreciated!
thanks
Darby

It says you are in California. Although I prefer larger mastiff type filas, I would contact De La Luna kennel and at least give her a look before you decide on a breeder. She seems to treat her dogs like children and I'm sure you would get a healthy pup who was fed and raised right in the first stage of life. She seems to be on top of the health and nutrition of her dogs and pups.

thank you for the suggestion. She has some very nice looking fila's...I look forward to chatting with her!

def try de la luna but PLEASE stay away from Lions den ...complete rip off.

Although I disagree with just about everything Juan says, I agree with him on that. Do some research and you will see why. Buying a pup should be a great event, not a devastation.

Donna from de la Luna is a good person; I would fell confident you will get an honest deal from her.
Dawna Berg of Eshabeta II is a good person. If you want a hard personality, ask for a pup from Sacket; he is a beast.
Lone Wolf Filas sold me a good pup and did everything they said they would.

Thanks for the replies. I would love to talk online or phone with some owners of eshabetta and/or De La Luna. I have been on and off the fila boards for over 9 years and I do know that there are several breeders that I would never deal with nor want their lines. Does anyone know if Bob Kout is still breeding?.. thanks again!

I think he is still breeding, I am pretty sure he still comes on this board from time to time.

You can reach Bob Kout (Windwalker Farms) by way of his website: http://www.afila4u.com/
