That is a good looking bull. If you really wanted that extra 3% I assume you could delay slaughtering and do a sonogram thing. Not sure but I see them do it at the Strawberry Festival to check the cows for marbling/fat content. It makes the judging of the animals more scientific/fair. I am no expert but if your meat is already that good I wouldn't mess with what works for you. Interesting on the fruit feeding. My landlord has cows to keep the greenbelt status and it turns out the cows are from different farmers. My landlord also owns a huge fruit market across the street from the cows and they take a lot of fuit over to them. I asked about the cows and was told they are for the tax purpose and the farmers personal eating. Just grass and fuits, lots of fruits. Now I am understanding things better. See, I do learn things every day. Good Stuff to know.
