Not a problem Robin, you know we can't bicker and fight all the time, upbeat stuff needs to appear once in awhile. Give me a few days and I'll have some new and different pictures over in my photo albums..

Been trying for quite a spell to get a calf from those 2, I'd just about given up on it. Guess this means they get to hang around for awhile longer.

It is a pretty cool name ( so thanks) but it help keep things in perspective.. It joins a long list of distinguished calf names: Pot Roast, T-Bone, Sir Loin, Porter(house) to name a few.. I forget some of the others but that just means I get to recycle them..

Great looking calf. What breed are those cattle? I have my first belted galloway in the chest freezer but its slightly lean and tough. Your cattle seem to have a little fat on them which is great for eating. Hell of a bull there! I grew up on a dairy & beef farm and you got to watch those fellas, a big guy like that can put a hurtin on you fast if you don't watch them.

Nice picture; LoL, the names are just too cute. My favorite of those listed is "Sir Loin".

Try some beefalo. That is good eatin! My Grandpa used to breed them back in the 70's. Talk about a cow/bull with an attitude. Pet those things at your own risk and they will hit the fence to tell you off. It is nice to know what is in your meat and animals deserve to be treated well even if they are not pets. I looked into breeding Lowline Angus a couple years ago. Anybody here know anything about them?

Heifer is a Shorthorn variety, Bull is a Brangus.

Putting size in perspective top rail is just over 5 and half foot high

Sir Loin was the second best dinner guest T-Bone was off the charts.. I managed to get him to eat tons of fruits: watermelon, cantaloupes peaches and such.. Flavor was spectacular and tenderness, well some of the Tbone steaks you could cut with a fork.. I've tried different methods along the way (I'm such a novice at this) but nothing has beaten the grass/ horse quality alfalfa/ fruit feeding regime.. I'm sticking with it.. The meat processors drool over what I bring in and while I haven't achieved prime status yet I've gotten real close.. USDA guys keep telling me if I'd get 2 or 3 % more fat/marbeling I'd get that ranking..

Both are pretty docile the steer on the other hand has a major attidue.. Scared of nothing not me he'll take on all three filas at the same time. On the rare occasion my roommate has to feed she thows it over the fence, he won't let her in the arena. He actually acts more like a bull than the bull does.

And I know nothing of the Lowline Angus so can't help you out there Paul
