Jumping the fence!!!
So yeah, did anyone here know that a fila has the capability to jump a nearly 6 ft high fence? well its not a fence, its a wall. I own a bakery, so he heard some loud talking and i was in the middle of an argument, and he went insane, i could hear him but i didnt worry, all of a sudden Apollo pulls of the fence and launches at the people aorund me, he didnt bite anyone because i grabbed him by its collar and hit him about 2 times to get him relaxed. Well now, he just wants to jump all the time but its funny how he cant jump the fence anymore, but he keeps trying, so i had to lock him up in the kennel. now the second problem is that when i take him out he is completely full of energy, he just jumps like a maniac, impossible to stand him, like if he has never been loose lol. Any has had to deal with this problem?

hence why they say you should have a min. of a 6' stockade fence...if he got over it once it is guaranteed that he will get over it again...I suggest another row or 2 of cinder blocks (spelling? dont wanna get busted by the grammar police).

you might consider running a "hot wire" which is cheap what they use for sheep, cattle, etc. I think dogs hate to get shocked

i used Barb wire, will also help with kids wanting to jump the wall to get the ball. Juan, grammar police was a good one.

:-) Hot wire only works until they figure out how to ground it out...but if they don't figure that out, it works great.
