Sorry, I have been house hunting lately. The Fila was a stray and the owners bailed him out of dog jail. The Fila is back home. Thanks for the help and sorry for my delay in responding.

Miami gets about 4 Filas a month. Most are strays and picked up by owner. I obtained one that was a stray as the owners if there were any didn't want him or abandoned him. He was in pretty poor shape when I got him and he seemed to fit in well with my other dogs. Now after 2 weeks he is getting dog aggressive and possessive of me and toys he picks up. He just got neutered two weeks ago and is coming off medications. I'm new to this breed and I have a neutered male Black Russian and a spayed female Lab. Both the BRT and Lab get along great and they were receptive of the new Fila and the Fila seemed non-chalant with them until recently. The Fila attacked the Lab over a toy and the Lab had bites in two places on her face. Does anyone have any advise.? Since I picked this dog up as a stray, I have no history on him but everything I've read says that Filas are fairly non aggressive toward dogs and will bond with and protect what they percieve as the owners property. The dog has bonded well with me and although he has no obidience training(which he will receive) he does react to verbal repremands from me. If anyone can give some help, I would appreciate it.
