This is the message I received from the woman who is fostering the dog:
We rescued Jaxon from a Back Yard Breeder at 16 weeks of age. Jaxson just turned 1 on March 6, 2011. He is UTD on all his shots and is neutered. He weighs about 129 lbs. He was deemed healthy until his slip and fall in Feb. Thats when we found out he had hip problems. Currently he is on Rimadyl and Tramadol which keeps him comfortable. At the present time he is able to get around fairly well. He was born with bad hips and has hip displasia(sp). He needs to have surgery because his hip is not seated properly after a slip and fall on the ice in Feb
They are located In Md. If anyone can help, please contact me. The husband is wanting to take the dog to a no kill shelter, but being a Fila, we all know that will not end well.
