My name is Kim(x) and I am proudly owned by a 1 year old Fila/GSD mix and a 3 year old Boxer mix. I've always been intrigued by Filas, and hope to own a responsibly bred Fila one day. For now, my passion is dog rescue.

There has been an alarming increase in Fila and Fila mixes cropping up in my local animal control (Miami, FL), and with the lack of breed-specific Fila rescues here in South Florida and lack of anyone competent enough to handle the breed down here, it makes it difficult. I am looking to network with other Fila fanciers in FL and surrounding to help quell the problem before it becomes a massive issue.

Hey Kim,

Welcome to the board and thank you for helping out with rescues. Let us know when you are ready for a well bred fila and i am sure we could help you out there. remember that if you do find a fila in need of rescue that you post them on this and other boards so they get max exposure.
