I love the Fila, it has such unique character. I originally got burned by Lions Den Fila when he sent me a male puppy that had the conformation of a daschund and it was sick with giardia!!! it has been very hard getting my replacement puppy. Still no puppy, I would like to give great kudos, to Eshabeta Kennels for honesty, and producing true representatives of this magnificent breed.

I second that Dawna has some of the nicest Fila ive seen ive known her since the late 80"s and three Fila"s later i cant complain about anything at all.She has given me good advice when i needed it and exactly what i asked for when i purchased from her.

Tru indeed, I consider Dawna like the Jedi Master of the Fila. Does anyone know if it is common for Fila's to suffer from panosteitis(growing pains)

Any mammal can suffer from growing pains. It happens when the bones themselves grow (from the ends, at what is called the epiphyseal plate) and tendons or ligaments are stretched as a result of that growth.

I'm not sure if it is common, I would think so. I would be careful if you are seeing signs of this in yours. Only because they are growing so fast you don't want to tear or stretch anything. Cane, our fila either tore or stretched his tendon behind the stiffle, before that happened I had noticed that he limped alot but not always on the same leg and it seemed to go away very quickly. At the time I didn't know what panosteitis was but after researching as much as I could about leg injuries I now believe that if I had known about panosteitis and had restricted some of his play he may not of injured his tendon.

Good luck

Luis is a dangerous person to deal with. I'd never ever send him my money again! This guy is a snake...his wife is a gem though!

Yes I did, although I did not get the same sex as I orignally purchased(male). But I can say that I did receive a beautiful brindle female, with heavy bone and type. Although she is beinging quaratined considering what I originally experienced (giardia). I hope all goes well. I do wish you luck, it has been a long time coming (5mo) for me to finally receive my puppy. I again have to give Eshabeta II , great kudos for sending me a beautiful healthy, huge, typie, buckskin fawn male. I will be posting pics soon. Happy Holidays!!!

Yep!, I hear that he passes on strong tempermant to his offspring. This pupp is a ham :) structualy sound. Your yago must have been from Kimi & Angus litter. If so I have a female from that litter (brindle) and full od tempermant OMG

My male is out of Sackett. Huge and very strong temprament...to say the least. But, when my grand-nephews and -nieces come over, he loves on them like they are his own.

yep he is from Kimi and Angus he's one huge puppy.I really like him, In his world there are no nice strangers ive been working him at the field .I have been letting my friend work him some on the field so he would get use to working down field away from me ,so far he has bite him 2 times. His tracking is near excellent and his obedience is good as long as its short then he seems to get mad.He has been a handful.I never got to see any of his sisters as they never appeared on the website ,i would love to see your female from Kimi and Angus, i would imagine she is going to be huge.

My pup is about 15 months and 140lbs or so. Have to look up his mom. Extreme...yea, he hates everyone...almost. Barks/growls at people walking by when we are driving, but, steadily getting better about easing up once we say 'OK'. Loves to ride in the truck and absolutely lives for our affection. Here is the latest pic, taken almost 2 months ago. He is very muscular, has a head like Sacket and almost the same chest marking.

Wow what a beast, gorgeous dogs which one is he L/R, Both are great looking dogs. This gives me a base line, for my pupp he already has muscular definition with heavy bone. Cant wait to see what he does, I am excited about the outcome of his tempermant. What do you feed your Filas?

Female on the left, malre on the right as you look at the pic. We cook about 6 dozen scrambled eggs, (the rest is raw) some green beans, yams, carrots and 10lbs each of hamburger, chicken and either turkey or pork...sometimes fish.

Bag it and freeze it.
